Graveside services for Billie Hilton Bumpass, 79, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in Heritage Oaks Care Center.
She was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Claremore, Okla. She moved to Lubbock in 1933. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1936. She married A.C. Bumpass on Jan. 15, 1938, in Lubbock. He died Dec. 25, 1985. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She worked for Texas Tech University in the personnel department, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Freddie Max of Lubbock.
