Dies in Lacona
Mrs. Ruby M. Aloan, 70, wife of William J. Aloan, died Oct. 26, 1962 in Lacona after a sudden attack of illness. She had not been considered seriously ill and last Saturday was a guest with her husband at a testimonial dinner in Oswego in honor of Mr. Aloan's retirement this Wednesday as clerk of the Board of Supervisors.
Mrs. Aloan was born in Redfield and she and Mr. Aloan lived in that community until 1952, when they moved to Orwell. She was active in community affairs, both in Redfield and in Orwell.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Cedric Yerdon of Jamesville; a brother, Earl Clemens of Pulaski; a grandson and nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Monday in Orwell Union church, with Rev. Robert C. Murphy officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Orwell
