Under date of January 22, a communication from Osceola says:
"On Monday a telegram came to Charles and Ruth Aloan of the death of their brother, William Aloan, who is in Gen. Pershing's army, somewhere in France. He died of pneumonia. His relatives have requested his body to be sent home and burial will be beside his mother in Williamstown, Oswego Co. He is survived by his father, Daniel Aloan, three brothers, Clarence and Wilson of Evans Mills and Charles of Osceola and one sister, Miss Ruth Aloan, also of Osceola. The family have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.

Funeral of William F. Aloan
Camden, Feb 22 - The funeral service for William F. Aloan, the soldier boy who died in France January 11, of pneumonia, was attended at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the home of his brother, Charles Aloan, in Osceola, and burial was made in the family plot in the Osceola cemetery. The Rev. G.D. Ashby of this village, conducted the service. He was 27 years of age, and is survived by his father, Daniel Aloan, a sister Miss Ruth Aloan, and three brothers Charles of Osceola, Clarence and Wilson of Evans Mills.
