CHURCH GETS $500 FROM ALCOTT ESTATE
New Hope - July 26 - The Lumberville Methodist Episcopal Church receives $500 from the estate of Samuel Alcott, who died July 12 in Philadelphia. He also bequeathed $2500 to be used by his widow, Lydia F. Alcott, for any charitable purposes she may select.
His estate, valued at $100,000, is to be held in trust for the widow, a son, Watson K. Alcott, and a daughter, Mabel E. Kister, the principle eventually to revert to the grandchildren.
