"WOMAN IN ROME TWP DIES IN CITY HOSPITAL - Mrs Eugenia Kerr Had Been an Invalid for Several Years -Always Lived Near Here - Mrs Eugenia Kerr, highly respected citizen of Rome township, passed away at the Titusville City hospital Sunday morning, after an illness of three weeks. Mary Eugenia Henderson was born on May 8, 1847, at the Henderson homestead north of the city and her entire life was spent in the community of Bethel. On September 27, 1866, she was married with J Rulin Kerr and to them were born two sons, Garret C and Frank E, who reside north of the city. After her husband's death on June 10, 1900, Mrs Kerr maintained her residence at the homestead with her eldest son, G C Kerr. About seven years ago she suffered a severe attack of rheumatism, since which time she has been confined to a wheel chair. 'Aunt Gene,' as she was well and lovingly known to her entire community, was always an energetic church and WCTU worker and took an active interest in the affairs of the community until the time of her recent illness. Besides the two sons, she leaves 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The body was prepared for burial at the Paul B Kerr funeral home and was removed to the home of Frank E Kerr. Services in her memory will be conducted from the Bethel Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the pastor, Rev M K Strickler, officiating. Interment will be in Union cemetery."
