Sharon Davidson Wuerth passed away at home Feb. 7, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.

Sharon was born July 22, 1935, in Correctionville, Iowa, the daughter of Verle Allen Wetmore and Lucille Fitzpatrick Wetmore. Her family soon moved to Los Angeles where she was raised and attended school. She is very close to her brother, John Wetmore (Jo), now living in Seattle, Wash., and her sister, Linda Wetmore Wolfe (Bill), now of Garden Grove, Calif.

Sharon was preceded in death by both parents. Sharon was married to Ronald Davidson for 35 years. Together they raised their four children. Sharon was proud and always supportive of her family: daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Mario Valenzuela of Lompoc, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Rick Finley of Philomath, Ore.; son, Ron Davidson of Ventura; and daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Richard Reed of Ventura. Sharon had eight grandchildren: Jennifer Valenzuela, Matthew, Brian and Melissa Finley, Kayla, Brett, Jordan, and David Reed. She was delighted by three great-grandsons, Liam, Ty and Tim Finley. Sharon loved her nieces and nephews. She was a loyal friend to many.

Sharon loved living in Ventura! She was a volunteer at Ventura City Hall, Community Memorial Hospital, and many Ventura County Fairs. For 10 years she enjoyed working at the Ventura Chamber of Commerce where she met her second husband, Dave. They were married for 13 years. She was a great homemaker, always making it look easy! She made time to read, do jigsaw puzzles, and travel. Sharon will be remembered most for her love of family and friends. She amazed us with her sense of humor, her ability to plan ahead, her generosity and thoughtfulness. She will be missed!

A rosary and mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Ventura, 3175 Telegraph Road. A lunch reception will be held at the church following the mass. A private service will take place at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park. At Sharon's request, no flowers please. Arrangements were entrusted to Joseph Reardon Funeral Home, 757 E. Main St., Ventura, 643-8623
