He enlisted for military service on 01 Oct 1861 in Mobile, Mobile, Alabama Capt. Arrington's Co. A., City Troop (Mobile); Co. F, 15th Alabama Calvary Regiment, Barbiere's Battalion.
He entered military service on 19 Dec 1862 in Mobile, Mobile, Alabama Company D, 1st Alabama Infantry Regiment and Co. B, Capt. Brooks Company, City Troops.
