Born in Patterson, Okla., a member of the Cherokee Nation, who grew up, graduated high school in Las Animas, Colo., and was a longtime resident of Pacific Palisades and Camarillo, passed into the light joining the spiritual world Monday, 7 Nov., 2011.

Cliff served our nation during WWII in the US Navy CB Special Operations unit, received a Professional Engineering Degree as Mining Geological Engineer from Colorado School of Mines (1950), married Charlotte Ann Proctor of Golden, Colo., and began a family in 1950. Cliff traveled the world as a rare minerals exploration geologist throughout his 35-year career. He concluded his business life as a small business owner in Camarillo.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, four children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A private family ceremony celebrating Clifford's life and accomplishments will be held where his ashes will be scattered in the desert he so loved, with quiet reverence, peace and humility.

We shall keep you (Cliff) in our hearts always.

Family, friends, and neighbors, Clifford passed into the light and spiritual world on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011. He makes the human, the spiritual, the Cherokee, and all beings proud to know him as he continues to spread his infinite wisdom and spiritual presence to those who are willing to receive it. He loved and judged, although not openly, and is one of the most passionate individuals we have ever known. He lived life with a quiet reverence, and with peace and humility, careful to never let the third brain, subconscious mind, aka emotions, cast shadows on his judgment. We continue to thank him for his influence; for now and forever. For those of us that have had the privilege of being touched by his presence, we would not be the people that we are today without his gentle influences. He will continue to live in and influence our spirits for now and forever as we continue to carry his spirit in our thoughts into the ages.

We will be holding the traditional celebration of life in the California desert that he loved with passion, when in full bloom. As is, as Cherokee does; his body remained undisturbed for the traditional three days to complete spiritual separation. He will be cremated so we may fulfill his wishes. His body and spirit will be recycled into universal life. Next time that lizard winks at you, you never know!
