"Early Settler Passes Away."
"News has been received here of the death at Hollister, of Guadalupe Alvarado, one of the earliest settlers of this valley and one of the earliest residents of Hollister in which place he has resided ever since its founding. besides a wife and four daughters the deceased leaves two brothers, Joaquin Alvarado of Watsonville and Felipe Alvarado of San Ardo. He was highly esteemed by many old friends."
