Born Sept. 12, 1918, in Dodge, Neb., she was the daughter of Vencel and Mary Kahounova Martinek. On Nov. 17, 1939, she married William Paul Sindelar in Dodge.
Mrs. Sindelar was a homemaker and always had a large garden, she enjoyed cooking, baking items for bazaars, making dolls, reading and shopping. She worked at Henry County Care Facility while she was living there, working in the kitchen.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton.
Survivors include four children, Florence Yocum, Loretta Sindelar, and David Sindelar, all of Mount Pleasant, Alan Sindelar of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son and one sister.
Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery
