She was born in Lunenburg, on Oct. 25, 1923, daughter of the late Walter W. and Julia (Metcalfe) Balch.
She was married to Merle W. Crown, Oct. 5, 1945.
She graduated from McIndoes Academy, McIndoes Falls, Class of 1942, and the Gifford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Randolph, Class of 1945.
Minnie became a registered nurse in Vermont, working private duty and Volunteer Health Duty.
She also worked at the former Weeks School Infirmary in Vergennes.
She was also predeceased by her husband Merle; infant daughter, Diana; son, Wayne; sisters Anna Louise, Martha, Ellen and Ruth; and her brother, William.
A private graveside service with burial in the family lot in Prospect Cemetery, Vergennes, will be held at the convenience of the family.
