Funeral services for Saddie "Sue" Lee Balthrop will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Cross Point Baptist Church, 3190 Harris Street, Gainesville, Texas 76240, with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Creek Cemetery, North of Saint Jo, Texas following the services. A family visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Saddie "Sue" Lee Balthrop was born on December 17, 1944 in Muenster, Texas to Henry and Vivian Henley Huddleston of Saint Jo, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2012.
Saddie worked at Linda Jo Shoe Company in Gainesville, Texas for many years. She worked for Peterbilt Motors in Denton, Texas for 21 years; retiring in February 2007.
Saddie is survived by her daughter Susan Lee of Gainesville; granddaughter Payton Carroll of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law Nickie and Weldon Turner of Gainesville; sister-in-law Ann Huddleston of Mesquite; daughter/niece and her husband Shirley Dudley and Steve Hefley of Longview, and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Saddie was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Balthrop; parents Henry and Vivian Huddleston; sisters Anna Mae Huddleston and Shirley Ann Barnett; brothers Charles Earl Huddleston, William (Bill) Huddleston; grandparents Dora and William Henley and Rufus and Mary Ella Huddleston.
Pallbearers will be Joe Grotte, Rodney Fleenor, Greg Lewis, Brett Moore, Jack Leverett, and Tyrelle Kallhoff.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Balthrop and Gary Balthrop.
