Eric married Ann Hellen on 1 Jan 1914 in Manila, Philippines.
Early records, and his passport applications, note him as a "salesman" and/or "automobile manager" conducting business in Philippines, Hong Kong, and Japan. As several brands of American automobiles were popular in the Far East in the early twentieth century up into the 1930s, the importation and sale of these may have been his specific business.
Whatever his specific business was, he was very successful, living on Sunset Blvd in the affluent Holmby Hills area of Brentwood by about 1930, and that home possible still extant. He and Ann were found at the same address in 1940, and he then noted as a building contractor. Later residences included Santa Monica and finally Ventura County, his last noted address.
His mother and half sister have now been linked as below, but his father's and younger sister's places of burial remain unknown.
