He went on to organize the School of Music at Waxahatchie TX, then to Fort Worth, where he conducted for 4 years. From 1902 to the early 1920's he was director of the Bush Temple Conservatory of Music, Chicago. He served as the educational directory of the Julliard Music Foundation in New York from 1925 to 1926. He moved to California to retire in the mid 1930's and at the time of his death was the President of the National Association of Schools of Music and Allied Arts.
