Betty Jo Adams Barrett, 74, of 654 Lindsey Chapel Road, passed away Dec. 9. She was born January 22, 1929 in Polk County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Rosa Mae Mann Adams; sisters, Margaret Thomas and Mary Frances Carroll; and brothers, Thomas Adams and Joe Allen Adams.
Survivors include: husband, Clarence Barrett; daughter, Elaine E. Stansell of Cedartown; son, Sam Erwin of Suwanee; and three grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Betty Jo Barrett were conducted Friday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Heaton officiating.
Interment followed in Polk Memory Gardens. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, December 16, 2003)
