Catherine was the daughter of Harrison A. Cummings and Florence Lydia WALTON Cummings.

She was the wife of Squire Charles Ostrander who she married on Oct. 24, 1903 in Pine Grove, Portage Co., WI.

Their two sons were Jerrold L. and Gerry James Ostrander.

Obituary

Mrs. Catherine Ostrander, 78, Plainfield died at the Wild Rose Hospital at 1:50 this morning. She was the widow of Squire Ostrander. Mrs. Ostrander was hospitalized for three weeks before her death, and had undergone major surgery.

Her funeral will be held Monday, at 2 p.m. at the Plainfield Baptist Church, the Rev. Mary Murray officiating, and the burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Goult-Patterson-Hardell Funeral Home, Plainfield, from 2 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday and at the church after Monday noon.

Mrs. Ostrander was born in the Town of Pine Grove Oct. 8, 1886 (7 written in ink on top of last number), a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Cummings. She lived on a farm in Pine Grove until moving to Plainfield 12 years ago.

Her marriage took place Nov. 15, 1904 (3 written in ink over last number). Mr. Ostrander died Oct. 25, 1963.

Surviving are a son, Gary (Gerry written in ink above), Pine Grove; a sister, Mrs. George Nigh, Pine Grove; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Ostrander was a member of the Plainfield Baptist Church and the Baptist Christian Circle.

She was the former Catherine Cummings, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Cummings, born Oct. 8, 1886 (7 written in ink on top of last number), in the town of Pine Grove. On Nov. 15, 1904 (3 written in ink over last number) she was united in marriage to Squire Ostrander, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1963. They resided on their farm in the town of Pine Grove until the past 12 years when they resided in the village of Plainfield. She is survived by a son, Gary Ostrander, of the town of Pine Grove, 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George Nigh,Sr. of the town of Pine Grove. She was a member of the Plainfield Baptist church and the Baptist church circle. Funeral services were held at the Plainfield Baptist church with the Rev. Mary Murray officiating. Alfred Peterson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Ivory Palaces" accompanied by Lillian Peterson at the organ. Burial was in the town of Pine Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were George Nigh,Sr., Martin Nigh, Lawrence Cummings, Frank (last line or two was cut off).
