Alfred was born to William Charles Fisk and Mary Ann Littlewood. Alfred served in the Royal Marine Light Infantry 1893-1902. In World War I, he enlisted in the British Columbia 2nd Depot Battalion. He enlisted on 11 Sep 1918 and was discharged on 22 Jun 1919. In his declaration of citizenship, he listed his occupation as pipe fitter.

Alfred married, first, Verona Brisco. They had two daughters, Lillian Mildred born Mar 31, 1907 in Vancouver, British Columbia and Daisy born Sep 1909 in Oregon.

He married Maude Alice Murdy on 17 Mar 1912 in Los Angeles County, California.
