Oldham Lee Wimsatt, 98, of 6914 Oakford Road, Owensboro, died Saturday, November 10, 2001, at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The Daviess County native was a farmer and member of St. Peter of Alcantara Church. He was a member of Farm Bureau and enjoyed woodworking and playing cards. His wife, Phylis Shively Wimsatt, died in 1989. Survivors include a son, Milton Wimsatt of Stanley; three daughters, Margaret Wimsatt Reed of Fort Myers, FL, Jane Wimsatt Mischel of Acton, MA, and Faye Wimsatt Booth of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter of Alcantara Church in Stanley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
