Ronald, 83 of Ionia passed away February 22, 2012. He was the son of Stanley and Eleanor (Partridge) Powell.

Ronald married Margie Thomas June 19, 1949 in Ionia. He farmed all his life on the family farm. He attended Shiloh Community Church, was a member of Farm Bureau and liked to square dance.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Margie Powell of Ionia; children, Douglas (Amanda) Powell of Ionia, Jon (Martha) Powell of Holly and Julie (Brian) Calley of Portland; brothers, Larry (Blanche) Powell of Portland and Rex (Peggy) Powell of Maryland and grandchildren, Collin, Reagan and Karagan Calley, Spencer, Heather and Lauren Powell, Alanna Pape and Ryan Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia.

Funeral services were held Saturday, at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.

Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in Ronald's name to Ionia County Animal Shelter (Cat Room) or Great Lakes Hospice.
