Anthony J. Welnetz, 61, of Rt. 4, Sturgeon Bay, a former Manitowoc resident, died Saturday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Hephne will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Welnetz was born May 6, 1911, at Wakefield, Mich., son of the late Anton and Stella Welnetz. He married Julia DeSonia Sept. 9, 1934, at Manitowoc, He was employed as a carpenter by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., and Manitowoc
Engineering Co. until three years ago when he retired and moved to Rt. 4, Sturgeon Bay. He was a member of Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706, past secretary of Manitowoc Carpenters Local No. 849 and past member of Wisconsin National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, three sons and a daughter (Survivors omitted for privacy.); a brother, Joseph, of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Maynard, of Milwaukee and Mrs. John Engeldinger and Mrs. Wilbur Kumbalek, of Manitowoc.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 o'clock this Tuesday evening where a Wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
