Emma L Burkhart, 93, of Aliquippa, formerly of Avella, Pa, died Monday, Aug 15, 1994 in the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, Brighton Township.
Born June 11, 1901 in Wellsburg, W Va a daughter of the late James and Ida Bise Mundell, she was a resident of Jefferson Township from 1929 until 1970. She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church; Senior Methodist Organization of the Monaca United Methodist Church, and Center Grange 1870.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A Burkhart whom she married July 24, 1924.
Surviving are Robert and Mary Welsh, with whom she resided, and several nieces and nephews.
The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by 11 brother and sister.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Jermone A Stefkovich Funeral home, Avella, Pa. where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
