Born Saturday, September 25, 1943 in Carrollton, Missouri, he was the son of Roy Henderson Jr. and the late Bernice (Fordham) Pregge.
He was a 1962 graduate of Higginsville High School and served in the National Guard. Mr. Henderson lived most of his life in Higginsville, moving to Raytown, Missouri in 2001. He worked as a water treatment operator at the Lake City Arsenal, retiring in 2010. He married Debbie Chaloupecky August 27, 1984.
Surviving is his father, Roy Henderson, Jr. of Lawson, MO; wife, Debbie Henderson, of the home; son, William (Michelle) Chaloupecky, Jr. of Blue Springs, MO, daughters, Nora (Steve) Schoenthaler of WaKeeny, KS, Carrie (Nick) Markley of Lee's Summit, MO and Michelle (Jeff) Hartupee of Odessa, MO, sisters, Sherry (Glenn) Sanders of North Kansas City, MO and Brenda (Hubert) Lee of North Kansas City, MO; and 10 grand children.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Lee's Summit Christian Church, 800 NE Tudor Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri with the Rev. Bill Briley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be sent to Wayside Waifs or Vitas Hospice.
