She was born August 12, 1927 near Berryville, Illinois to Blanche (Rogers) and Sheldon Lynch. Eloise married LeRoy Moudy on June 20, 1980 and he survives.
Eloise is also survived by her daughter Rhonda (Mike) Leek of rural West Salem, Illinois; son Dee (Alice) Moudy of Sumner, Illinois; two brothers, Charles (Mary Alice) Lynch of West Salem, Illinois and Kenny Lynch of Olney, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Dee Ann Moudy, Twyla Moudy, Halonna (Larry) Miller, LeAnn (Jason) Walkington, Denia (Matthew) Beuligmann, Dustin (Whitney) Leek, Kiya (Kenny) Schanda and Gerald Moudy. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; four step-children: Joanne (Bruce) Stikkers of St. Joe, Illinois, Bill (Kathy) Strine of West Salem, Illinois, Bev Higgin of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Jim (Kelly) Strine of West Salem, Illinois; thirteen step-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother, Harold Lynch and one son, Jeff Moudy.
Eloise was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of West Salem, a lifetime member of the Eastern Star, and was also a member of the Pretty Women Red Hatters of West Salem. Eloise lived a full life with many interests, which included flower gardening, cooking, baking (her specialties being coconut cream pie with "mile high" meringue, and sweet potatoes). She really loved babies and all of her grandchildren, spoiling them was a special joy. She also enjoyed music, clothing and fashion and watching FOX news. Eloise loved God, her church and her family and will be remembered for the advice she loved to give.
Funeral services for Eloise Lorraine Strine will be held at the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, Illinois. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery at West Salem.
