Lawrence Clifford Emfield was the middle of three sons born to George Humphrey Emfield and Mary (Severns) Emfield. He married Inez Leora Patterson in Genesse, Idaho on 30 July 1901. They had three children; Erma June (1902-1969), Ray Herbert (1906-1985) and Lucile Ruth Emfield (1909-1973). He and Inez were later divorced (around 1918) and both remarried. Lawrence's second wife was Mary McDonough (25 Oct 1923 in Great Falls, MT). There were no children born to this second union. Lawrence was a Railroad Engineer and worked most of his life for the Great Northern Railroad, as did at various times also his brothers and father.
