Marion E. Morse was born the son of Rev Joseph Perkins Morse Sr. and Lucinda Lucretia Tabor. Coming with his parents and siblings from Ohio to Michigan in the 1870's, settling mostly in Van Buren Co., near Bangor, MI. This line of the Morse family comes down from Anthony Morse who came in 1645 from England and settled in Massachusetts. He married Phoebe Black on 05 Jan 1879 in Van Buren Co., MI. To that union six children were born with four living to adulthood.
