Leonard Weddle, 28, farmer of the Nancy section of the county, died Saturday afternoon at his home following an illness of a year. Born at Nancy Nov. 30, 1914, he was a son of A.V. and Vona Pyles Weddle and resided in Nancy his entire life. He was a loyal member of the White Oak Baptist Church and a fine Christian gentleman. He was a beloved son and brother and will be sadly missed by a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Colyer officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. Besides his parents, Mr. Weddle is survived by seven brothers, Arnold, James and Gordon Weddle, all of Nancy; Albert Weddle of Norwood, Ohio, Earnest Weddle, with the Army in India; Earl Weddle, with the Army in Texas, and Virl Weddle, with the Army in North Carolina; and four sisters, Miss Opal Weddle of Nancy, Miss Ruby Weddle of Philadelphia, and Misses Olive and Gladys Weddle, both of Norwood, Ohio.
