Royce Oswell Crabb was born February 21, 1921, Robert Roy Crabb and Opal Eula Simmons, at 8 o'clock in the morning, about 5 miles outside of Como, Texas.

In 1941, Royce started working for the Merchant Marines. He married Eunice Pendarvis, May 18, 1951, in Tom Greene County, Texas, and they were married until her death in 1972.

His cousin, Mary Ellen Ledford recalled how her family was "thrilled beyonds" when Royce would come and visit them while on leave when he was serving in World War II.

He married Almedia Henderson on February 3, 1977, in Galveston, Texas, and he eventually retired from the Merchant Marines in May 1986.

He passed away on January 18, 1993, in Livingston, Polk County, Texas, of liver cancer. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Royce was survived by his wife, Almedia Henderson Crabb; mother, Opal Eula Crabb; stepdaughter, Linda Tidmore of Cave Spring, Georgia; brother-in-law, R. C. Henderson and sister-in-law, Janie Henderson, both of Livingston.
