AIR FORCE RESERVE PILOT KILLED IN TRAINING FLIGHT
SALAMANCA, N.Y. (AP) - The body of the pilot of an Air Force Reserve jet trainer based in Youngstown was found in the twin engine plane's wreckage after the aircraft burst into flame and crashed yesterday afternoon.
Air Force Capt. Edward D. Yewell Jr., 28, of Jackson Center, Pa., was flying an A-37B Dragonfly, a jet trainer, which crashed on a training exercise, according to Pamela Reese, information officer at the 910th Tactical Fighter Group, based at Youngstown.
She said no further information was immediately available.
