"World War II Veteran", SSGT United States Army. Earl entered the Army in March 1943 and was trained at Camp Breckinridge, KY., Cleveland Ordnance School in Cleceland, OH and Michigan Army School in Detroit, MI. He was assigned to the 133rd Medium Maintenance Division. He supervised, instructed and laid out work for 36 mechanics in vehicle maintenance and was foreman in the auto repair shop. Staff Sergeant Waldeck served overseas in the Marshall Islands and Saipan. While there he repaired bomb trucks for B-29's in a area that was bombed by the Japanese. He also worked with the Sea Bees and Australian troops. He was discharged in February 1946 and received the American Theatre Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Medal with Two Stars, a Meritorious Award and the World War II Victory Medal. Earl was also a Mason.
