Betty Jean Lollar, 72, of Farmington, passed away on May 22, 2002. She was born on April 20, 1930, in Lesterville, the daughter of the late John R. McHenry and Wilma Colyott McHenry Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lollar; by two brothers, James Ralph (Tommy) and William Eugene McHenry; by a step-father, Sam Moore and by a beloved grandson, Johnn B. Chatman.
Before her retirement, Betty was the secretary for the Washington-Franklin School for 17 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. She also served as a member of the Parkland Health Center Auxiliary and the Selective Service Board.
She is survived by a daughter, Janis Chatman of Farmington; a son, Tim Lollar and wife Robyn of Golden, CO; by four grandchildren: Joe Chatman of Memphis, TN, Chris, Kara and Kevyn Lollar of Golden, CO; by a great-granddaughter, Taylor Brachbill and by an expected great-grandson, Jackson McHenry Chatman and other relatives and friends.
Visitation 5 p.m. Friday at the Cozean Funeral Home. Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cozean Memorial Chapel with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Farmington, the St. Francois County Relay for Life or HospiceCare, Inc.
