Betty B. Baltrusch 72, of 1236 N. 31st St. died Thursday, Nov. 8 1990, in Billings Deaconess Center after a brief illness.

She was born in Billings on July 3, 1918 a daughter of Oscar and Gladys Sheppard Baltrusch. She graduated from Billings High School in 1935 and attended A. W. Johnson School of Business in Billings/ She then attended Los Angeles City College.

During World War II, she worked in the War Department in Washington, D. C. the Ordinance Department in Umatilla, Ore., Hamilton Field Calif. and at te Presido in San Francisco, where she attached to the Judge Advocate Section of the Sixth Army.

In 1947, she transferred to the Bureau of Land Management in Billings and retired in 1973 as chief of minerals adjudication. She was past president of the Zonta and Junior Women's Club and is a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club and Edna Hedges Chapter No. 15 O.E.S.

Survivors include a brother Dr. Oscar W. Baltrusch of Billings, a nephew, Kurt Baltrusch of Glendive, and three nieces Mrs. Gary (Jan) Septon of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs Gary (Susan) Martland of St. Paul, Minn. and Mrs. Douglas (Carla) Dow of Eugene, Ore.
