Married Anna Mary Huber (1859-1939) at St Philomena's Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 27 Jun 1882 which is shown on marriage certificate. Roman Catholic church marriage record says 28 Jun 1882, but Diocese report states date was likely mis-recorded and actually recorded the next day with another marriage. 1900 Census also shows 1882.

Note: Son: Charles George Egli Jr (1883-1974) buried at Evergreen Burial Park nearby. Grandson: Charles Theodore Egli III (1923-2005) cremated and ashes spread in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
