Funeral services for Bert A. Walton of Westchester, who died at the insane hospital Wednesday morning, were held yesterday afternoon at Westchester. His was a particularly sad case. He returned in May from service in France, where he fought with a machine gun battalion for several months. After his return he went to Prescott, Kan., and his mental condition began to become bad. He was taken to Mt. Pleasant, where he rapidly declined. He was born at Westchester, Dec. 6, 1889, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Walton. He and his brother Joseph enlisted June 5, 1917, in Troop B, Iowa cavalry. Eight brothers survive. all of Westchester.
