Mrs. Sophia R. George, widow of Charles George, formerly of Newville, died at midnight last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mildred Baker, Shippensburg. She was aged 66 years.

Mrs. George and her family resided in Upper Mifflin township until about ten years ago when they removed to Newville. About two months ago she and her daughter removed to Shippensburg.

The following children survive: Cloyd, John and Mrs. Ida Brown, of Newville; Melvin, Annville; Samuel and Clair, York; William G., Wormleysburg; Smiley, River Rouge, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Russell, New Cumberland, and Mrs. Baker.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Baker on East Orange street (sic).
