Esther M. Anderson, of Enola, PA, passed away Saturday, February 25th, 2012 in Homeland Center, Harrisburg. Esther was born in Rye Twp., Perry County on January 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Sloop) Knaub. She was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. A member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. The widow of John Anderson.
Esther is survived by a son, James A., husband of Deb Anderson, of Mechanicsburg. A brother, Luther N., husband of Alice Knaub, of Poquoson, VA. Three grandchildren, Sarah, Rebekah and John.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, with The Rev. Alexander L. Lang officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday in the church.
Burial will be in Griers Point Cemetery, Marysville.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
The family would to express a sincere thank you to Homeland Center and Homeland Hospice for the care given to Esther. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Street Presbyterian Church, 310 North 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Shalonis -- Marysville
