Waterloo- Mrs Dorothy Borys Avery, 64, of 10 Insiee St., died yesterday at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a long illness. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm tomorrow at the Genung Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 pm Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jonathon Carlisle of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Avery worked for 12 yrs for the Midstate Body Company and she worked as a knitter for 12 years for Seneca Knit. She was born in Nebraska to Frank & Sophie Placzek Borys on May 17, 1914. She lived in Waterloo for the last 40 years. Surviving are her husband George G. Avery; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (MaryAnn) Close of Waterloo'; six sisters, Mrs. George (Muriel) Tuck of Lyons, Mrs. Frances Lash of Wolcott, Mrs Rose Naragon of Geneva, Mrs Michael (Josephine) Paiazzi of Seneca Falls, Mrs. Sophie Rapini of Geneva and Mrs. Charles (Louise) Albro of Watkins Glen; three brothers, John Borys of Waterloo, Michael Borys of OH and Henry Borys of CT; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
