Mr. Dover Wyncell Johnson, age 70, of 2429 Panther Branch Road in Sandersville died Wednesday February 1, 2012 in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 3rd, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Emory Anderson will officiate.

Mr. Johnson was a native of Washington County, the son of the late William Johnson and the late Bessie Irene Johnston Johnson. He was a construction worker. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict having served in the Navy.

He could play guitar and sing. He was very witty and always had snappy one liners and comebacks. He always could make you laugh.

Survivors are his two sons, Bryan Johnson of Gibson and Eric Johnson of Sandersville, his daughter, Winona Morris of Savannah and four grandchildren. Also missing him are many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
