Ruby J. Ulrich of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Tremont, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in Colorado Springs at Saint Francis Hospital, after surgical complications from a hip fracture.

Born in Tremont, Ill., to Chris and Sophie Pflederer, she attended Tremont High School. In 1939, she married Dale Ulrich, who preceded her in death.

She retired from Caterpillar after a long career.

After living in Pekin for over 60 years, she decided to move to Colorado Springs to be close to her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Washburn.

A private service is planned in Colorado, but her ashes will be returned to be buried next to her husband in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
