James Bruce Edwards, 83, of Amarillo died Saturday, April 3, 2004.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Ivey Edwards and the Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell Ave.

Mr. Edwards was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1948. He served in the Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; five sons, James Ivey Edwards of Clarendon, Ronald Perry Edwards of San Antonio, John Charles Edwards of Colleyville, Francis "Hank" Cannon of Amarillo and Jerry Richard Cannon of Phoenix; three daughters, Jean Cannon and Martha Sue Cannon, both of Phoenix and Carmen Lynn Archer of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Trinity United Methodist Church.
