MAJOR JAMES EDWARD BRAWNER IS DEAD AT AGE 46 -

FULTON, Ky. - Major James Edward Brawner, a resident of 3224 Foxwood Trail in Smyrna, Ga., died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Marietta, Ga.

A native of Fulton County, Ky., he was the son of the late Mr.

and Mrs. Baxter Brawner. He was a retired major with the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam war. He was 46 years old.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. June Wright Brawner; three sons, David, Timothy and Jim Brawner, all of Smyrna; four brothers, Wayne Brawner, Hickman, Roy Brawner, Helena, Ark., J. B. Brawner, Peoria, ILL., and Henry O. Brawner, Union City, Tenn.;

two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Madding, Hickman, and Mrs. Marie Roberson, Lompoc, Calif.


He attended North Park Baptist Church in Smyrna. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Home.

The Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home..
