Injuries Proove Fatal To Renoite
"Mrs. Rosamond (Rommy) Nixon Hall, 47, of 1300 W Second Street, became the state's 196th traffic fatality of 1965 Friday when she died of injuries suffered in a head on collision Christmas Eve in Washoe Valley.
Visibility was poor the night of the accident due to heavy snowfall.
Mrs. Hall was born Feb 20, 1918 in Parsons, KS, the daughter of Roy and Rose Burnett Johnston. She came to Reno from Southern California in 1949.
She was a dealer at Harolds Club. She had helped to organize the Air National Guard Auxiliary and worked with it for a long time.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Hall of Reno, daughter Mrs. Linda Bonnenfant of Reno; three sons, Lawrence Nixon of Sparks, Jeff and Greg Nixon of Reno, her mother, Mrs. Rose Johnston of Parsons, KS; a sister Mrs. Mignon Zahm of Millbrae, CA; five brothers, Jerry Johnston of Fort Scott, KS, Wayne Johnston of Coffeyville, KS, Leonard Johnston of Fort Scott, KS, Clifford Johnston of Tulsa, OK and Cyril Johnston of Des Moines, IA; five grandchildren.

"Hall - Friends of Rosamond (Rommy) Nixon Hall are invited to meet at the Pyramid Funeral Home, 1538 C. Street, Sparks, Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. and then proceed to St John Vianny Church, Reno, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated. The Holy Rosary will be recited Monday evening, 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Praying Hands, Pyramid Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery."
