Florence Luebchow, 94, of Flora, Illinois, formerly of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Florence was born February 3, 1918 in Springfield, Illinois the daughter of William and Ethel Hohenstein.

She married Harold Luebchow July 6, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois.

Florence is survived by her son and daughter James E. Luebchow and Susan E. Hurliman. She is also survived
by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1967, and by her brother Rayburn Hohenstein and sisters Dorothy Parker, Mary Temple, and Bettie Cartwright.

Florence was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln. She retired in 1986 from her position as Secretary for the Logan County Highway Department for 23 years. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Lincoln Woman's Club.

Visitation was held at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln with a funeral service to following.

Burial will be at New Union Cemetery following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln or W.I.L.L. F.M. Radio Station.
