Bob Owenby, 71, resident of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his home with his family at his bedside. He lost his courageous 4 year battle with cancer. He was a Christian and a member of Stuart Park Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.
Bob was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years and retired in 2000. Since then he greatly enjoyed farm life where you would often find him on his tractor or sitting on his screened in porch drinking a coke. Bob loved and enjoyed each of his 10 grandchildren; they all adored him. Bob Owenby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend to many, he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Frances Owenby; his precious grandson, Spencer Bateman.
