Nicholas Drew Hulshizer, 2 of rural St. Anthony, died at the University Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa, on Thursday, Sept. 27th 2001, after an accidental drowning.
Services were held Oct. 1 at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Zearing with burial at the Lincoln Township in Zearing. He was born in Ames, and lived in Zearing.
Surviving him are his parents, Doug and Erin Hulshizer of rural St. Anthony, two sisters Allison and Kate Hulshizer at home, his grandfather and grandmother Jon and Dianne De Bruin fo Clinton; paternal grandmother Mrs. Marlene Hulshizer of Northwood; great grandparents John and Hortense Dewiler of Clinton; great grandmother Marguerite De Bruin-Gill of Clinton; great grandparents Hazel and Herman Schmaltz of Parma, Ohio; Della Jensen of St. Ansgar.
Nicholas was an organ donor.
He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Gerald Hulshizer and Edward De Bruin.
