Son of Peter and Rosalie (Eckhardt) Heinrichs who were both born in Saxony, Germany. In 1887 he came to Menominee where he became a principal in the Menominee Hardware Co. In 1905 he organized the Morley-Murphy Hardware Co in Green Bay, WI, sold out in 1907 and came to Menominee where he founded the Heinrichs Safe & Vault Co. On 16 March 1886 he married Miss Margaret Waessner, daughter of Carl and Julia (Zimmer) Waessner.
