Services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Hamilton's Funeral Home for Mrs. Ruth E. Darnes, 70, of 1400 Watrous ave., who died Friday night at Mercy Hospital of a virus infection after a short illness. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Darnes was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and was a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jean Wallace, Mrs. Irene Haycock, and Mrs. Bobbe Croft, all of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
