On July 20,1876 in Cumberland Co., Pa., after a lingering illness, Abraham Weber, aged 74 years, 7 months and 17 days. Buried on Sunday July 23 rd. Many friends were present. Funeral services by Geo. Rupp and Abm. Burghart in German, Nathaniel Shope and J. M. Herr in English. Buried at Slate Hill.
He was a shining light in the church militant, having a hope; he has entered the church triphant where the "The wicked cease from troubling and the weary are at rest."
