SFC James Andrew Stone

James was the fourth of five children born to Marie Pulford and James Clarence Stone. His four sisters were Esther Violet Stone Wilson, Ethel Elsie Stone Amerman Ahng, Evelyn Nesbit Stone Tatters Lee, and Ella Marie Stone Hubbard.

James was a kind and fun-loving person, and he was especially adored by his nieces and nephews. His family was very proud of James' service to his country; his sudden loss brought heartbreak to all who knew and loved him. SFC James Stone was killed in service.

From the U.S. Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, "Also served with Battery A/ 183rd Field Artillery Battalion in prior service as S/Sgt;”
