Paul Cochran, 69, died at the home of his loving son, Mark, in Syracuse, Utah on Sunday, February 26, 2012.

A native of Beaumont, Texas, he was born on December 13, 1942, to Claudia and Jesse James Cochran. He was born into a large family and later in his life lived in Leesville, Louisiana.

He was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. His family was sad to see him go since he was the main cook in the home. After the military, he owned his own restaurant called Spindle Top Café in Beaumont. He sold this restaurant and became a regional manager for Dairy Queen Corporation and later owned a business for home remodeling, maintenance, and painting.

In 1962, he married Irene Fry of Inchelium, Washington and had two children, Mark and Paula. After twenty-three years, they divorced and went their own ways. While living in Leesville, he met Holly in 2001. They grew to love one another and she called him her hero before her passing in 2005. Paul was a wonderful man, loved by his family and friends. He was a true and loyal friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Mark Cochran and his wife, Becca and Paula LeClair; grandchildren, Joseph, Alex, Rachel and Jacob; former wife, Irene Fry Cochran; mother, Claudia Murphy Cochran; brothers, John Joseph, John Mark, and Danny; and sisters, Dolly, Paula, Gloria, and Kathy;

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Rose Pine Cemetery, in Rose Pine, Louisiana, under the direction of Broussard's.
