Rev. Nathaniel Leonard was the son of Major George and Anna (Tisdale) Leonard of Norton, Mass., b. Mar. 9, 1700. Graduated at Harvard College 1719, the first from that town. He was called to settle as pastor of the First Church in Plymouth, February 13, 1724, and was ordained on the twenty-ninth of July following.
He married Priscilla Rogers of Ipswich, Mass., by whom he had 16 children.
